Know what Kate loves playing with these days?
Anything paper--watch out if you are looking at a magazine or catalog in her presence. She will soon attempt to rip it from your hands. Sometimes I'll just go ahead and rip out single pages for her to play with. She loves to wave paper in the air and hear the sound it makes. It will eventually make it to her mouth, though, so then I have to take it from her. Then we start all over again.
One of Kate's favorite things to play with recently--until I finally broke down and put it away--was a shirt I'd ordered from Gymboree for her to grow into. When you place an online order, your items arrive in individual plastic bags. I left this one in the bag because it was too big for her. Well, she found it in the living room before I'd put the order away and LOVED it. She just loved crinkling up the plastic bag and waving it in the air. The little sticker that was on the bag eventually was illegible. LOL! The shirt? Actually, it's a black bodysuit. I think it may be a size 2T, even. (It is sometimes hard to find black clothing for baby girls, so I tend to buy ahead and snatch up pieces I think we'll use. Have you read the book Urban Babies Wear Black? We love it!) Anyway ...
Kate also loves wires and cords. It's like she seeks them out. This is not good. We need to be more careful around here in that regard.
Baby has some other faves in the toy department--you know, actual toys. I'll have to write about some of those later, gators.
P.S. The photo is from January.
