Near the front of our driveway is a flowery bush-type plant (I don't even know what to call it, actually) that has the prettiest multicolored blooms. I have no idea what kind of vegetation this is--can you tell I have a green thumb? ha!--but the flowers attract all kinds of butterflies and bees and things. Kate also can't seem to stay away from the blooms and tries to pick them when she gets a chance. Crazy girl. LOL! The other night I snapped some photos of a pretty butterfly. There were some different ones out there tonight, but no photos. Sorry!
The butterfly reminds me of our new life in Christ. Thank You, Lord.
Lantana! It's beautiful and those are great photos! We have alot of it around here too!
ReplyDeleteLantana is my favorite! Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Wow--you guys are good! That was fast! There are a lot of plants and flowers here, and I don't know what most of them are. I have some learning to do. :o)
ReplyDeleteLove Lantana! I get it for our pots on our deck out back and it's in bloom right now on the side yard. It comes in a variety of colors but the one I like the most is what you have pictured...the mulit-colored one! So pretty! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYou're so funny. We used to have huge lantana bushes in front of our old house. In the winter, it will die back to just branches. You can cut it back all the way to the ground and it will grow back next year just as big. Ours were huge, they would cover our front windows 41/2 to 5ft!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, sort of funny I saw it on your blog before I saw it in person! Will look tomorrow. Your pics are great?
ReplyDeleteThese photos could have been easily taken here in our yard! We are overrun with Lanatana, mostly just like yours, also with yellow to red blooms and one with white to yellow and another with only puple blooms! The butterfly looks identical to the 2 tiger swallowtails that we released over a year ago. You may remember that one stayed all night on the memorial tree we planted and the other flew away immediately "all the way to America" as Isabel put it. Looks like he made it just perfect to your house! bly cindy
