The other day, while Isaac napped, Kate and I had a fashion show. She was really into it at first. I asked her if she wanted to play dress-up, and she was allll about it. That lasted for a couple of ensembles, I suppose, before her enthusiasm started to wane. The following photos depict clothing we have had for quite some time now. We actually didn't get through all of our owl outfits, so we'll have to have another fashion show one day soon. And Isaac will have to get in on the action, too. He has a couple of owl things to model for you. :o)
Anyway ... here we go ...
I LOVE this sweater. I ordered it from L.L. Bean ... maybe two years ago? (I know. I am one of those buy-ahead moms.) But just look how cute. And it was on clearance (of course). It is paired with some basic jeans from The Children's Place. Because I know you were wondering ... ha!
This is an outfit that Kate wore last year, but it seems to still fit--though the pants might be bordering on too short (she is a tall girl). It's from Hanna Andersson, and I bought it second-hand. I had bought the bag first-hand beforehand. (Did you get all that?) Look at the little owl clippie dangling from the belt loop. So cute--we can keep that when Kate is officially too big for the clothes.
Here is another shirt we wore last year. It's from Gap--the sleeves might be teeeny bit short, but I think it will be OK for preschool and such this fall.
YAY for adorable knee socks. The shirt and socks are from Gymboree--I guess I bought them last year (or the year before)? They haven't been worn yet, though. And you can't go wrong with a basic denim skirt. Am I right or am I right?
Two words: Target clearance. I love me some after-holiday Target clearance. Watch out, people. I am coming through with my red cart, and you better get out of the way.
Target clearance strikes again! BTW, Kate is holding an owl book that Aunt Robin got her. We try to accessorize appropriately.
Ahhhh, another Gymboree owl shirt. Kate had a shirt just like this when she was a baby. Maybe it was size 3-6 months? She wore it her very first fall. So cute. I found this one at a consignment store for next to nothing. I want to say it was less than a dollar, but maybe it was less than two? Anyway, it was a great deal. Again, Kate is holding an owl squirtie toy--another gift from Aunt Robin. :o) Oh yeah--she also has in some cute owl hair clips that go with the shirt. Gotta love matching Gymbo hair clips!
OK--that's it for now. More to come!
P.S. Have you seen all the cute owl stuff that is out this fall? For example ... Gymboree's newest baby girl line? Hello? ADORABLE! I may or may not be picking up a few things at the upcoming baby sale. Because we need a few more owl shirts--I mean ... for next year, right?
So cute!
ReplyDeleteLove all of it! Enjoy this while you can. Sean hates having his picture taken. I still haven't gotten one of him as an 8-year-old.
ReplyDeleteI am all about owls right now. I am a scrapbook junkie and there are sooooo many owl papers and embellishments and even cartridges for the Cricut. And, of course, I think I have them all. Yeah, I'm Owl obsessed, too.
ReplyDeleteLOVE every.single.thing. Kate is sooo adorable!!!
