Isaac's One-Year Portraits

I wanted to have photos made of Isaac in his hanbok--on his actual birthday, if possible. It worked out for us to go to Portrait Innovations Sunday morning. We got the first appointment--that would give us enough time to get his picture made and get to the late service at church. Plus, when you snag one of the first appointments, your wait isn't likely to be long.

I took Isaac--just the two of us--while Tanna and Kate stayed home to get ready for church. I told the photographer that all I wanted was one decent photo of Isaac in his Korean outfit. It didn't have to be great, I said, just good or even OK. :o) I told her I wasn't sure how Isaac would do during the session, because he doesn't like to sit still for very long. I had low expectations. :o)

Well, apparently, having low expectations is the way to go! Isaac was wonderful during the photography session. We even did an outfit change! (I had told the photog that I wasn't sure about attempting a second outfit and that the hanbok was the priority.) But Isaac did so well that we kept going. He is a natural. Yay!

Here are a few of the pics ...

Yes, he is wearing more pandas. (He also wore pandas in our photo session with Lori last month.) I have had these panda outfits from Gymboree since Kate was a baby. I think the line came out in 2007. I LOVED it (for boys and girls) and bought some boy things in case we ever had a little guy to dress.

The little toy Isaac is holding in some of the photos is from Aunt Robin and Uncle Steven--they bought it for Isaac in the Czech Republic. I think it helped for him to have something to hold in his hands during the photo session.

P.S. I forgot to emphasize what a big deal it was for him to keep that hat on long enough to snap a photo. Well, it was a big deal. Just so you know. hahaha
