I bought this doll house at Pottery Barn Kids the other day. Got an awesome deal on it. It is very well-made, and I liked the size (not too big). The "inside" has one big room and a loft. As you can see, it has a nice front porch and a cute front door that is red. Isn't this an adorable little cottage?
Wrong!
I looked it up on the PBK Web site, and it is a BARN! LOL!
Well, I have to say it is the nicest barn I have ever seen ... especially for dolls.
My grandfather was a farmer, and I know about these things. hahaha
Anyway, Kate loves her barn, and the little wooden Asian doll family that she got for Christmas now has a home. Only, she doesn't really want them in the house (or barn). She just likes to drive her toy cars on the house and through the front door. Crazy girl!
Don't let this photo fool you. It only looks like Kate is happily playing with the dolls. I had set the doll family by their new abode, but Kate had other plans.
Here she is in action, folks--she threw the dolls, one by one, on the floor. She then proceeded to drive her various toy cars around, on and through the house. LOL!
UPDATE: I just came across the little red tag that was on the house when I bought it. (I took it off the other day and put it on the desk.) It clearly reads "Raleigh Guest House," although on the PBK Web site, this house is billed as "Raleigh Barn." Also, if you try to google "Pottery Barn Kids Raleigh Guest House," you won't see this house. However, if you replace "Guest House" with "Barn" ... well ... you get the idea. Just wanted to let you know. ha!
Looks like a great cottage to me. Honestly, how are are those animals going to fit through that little door?
ReplyDeleteDef.a house!! not a barn. LOL.
