Canopy Walk at Atlanta Botanical Garden

Today we met Di and Jamie over at Atlanta Botanical Garden. Thought we'd make use of our memberships and check out the new Canopy Walk. It's pretty cool--although still so sad to think about the horrible accident that happened during its construction. :o(

It had been raining overnight and was cloudy in the morning. We decided the girls could wear their rain boots--they got lots of compliments on them. Jamie also brought her umbrella--isn't she too cute? We have an umbrella for Kate, but I completely forgot to bring it. Bad Mommy! Kate was eying Jamie's umbrella bigtime.

Checking out the sign

Here's a shot by the waterfalls. So pretty. Di and I were laughing because we don't really stop to look at all the flowers and plants and things. We're too busy chasing these curious girls. (Plus, we're not really into stuff like that too much. LOL!)

We did notice the pretty hydrangeas, though. One flower that I actually know the name of. Probably because of It's a Wonderful Life. LOL! It's funny because the previous owners of our home were really into plants and flowers. Tanna and I never know what is going to be blooming next. There are some beautiful blooms, but I kind of feel bad because--while they are so pretty and nice to look at--we probably don't appreciate them as much as someone with a green thumb would.

Kate with the tooth-brushing cow. This is Kate's birthday outfit from last year. She also wore it to CFA's Cow Appreciation Day festivities. I was kind of surprised it still fit--and glad, too, because it coordinates so perfectly with her beloved cow boots. (She loves those boots!)

The girls love to play with sticks ... and water.

So tempting

On our way out, we saw a bald eagle!

Back at home, we spied this creature out on the deck. It was fast, too!
