We stopped by Serendipity 3 the Sunday afternoon we were in New York. Tanna and I had been there more than six years ago--when we were in NYC for New Year's Eve. However, we were disappointed to find that it was closed--and it wasn't that late, either. Who knew so many restaurants in New York closed so early on New Year's Eve? I mean, it is New York, right? Anyway, we did take a photo outside of the place. I should try to find it and add it here. Maybe I will later. (Probably not, though. LOL!)
So ... Kate and I were at Serendipity a few Sundays ago. There was a bit of a wait, but it wasn't too bad. The restaurant does have a strict no-stroller policy, but I was able to leave ours outside. I put it kind of behind the door (hard to explain), out of the way. I wondered if anyone would steal it, but I didn't worry about it too much. That is one advantage of not having a fancy-schmancy stroller. LOL!
After a brief wait in the lobby area, we were seated. The place was pretty busy, but folks seemed to move at a decent pace. We were there just for dessert, as Kate had eaten some chicken nuggets before we got there. Plus, I didn't want to push my luck in a busy restaurant with a 2.5-year-old who wasn't in a high chair or booster. After we sat down, "we" decided to split a chocolate milkshake. Actually, Kate didn't really care. She was too busy lining up the sugar packets and the like.
Once the shake arrived, however, she did enjoy a few sips. So did Mr. X. Our visit was quick, and the chocolate shake was a nice pick-me-up. It was chocolate deliciousness. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon!
How Fun!! Serendipity is on my list of place to visit in NYC, I can't wait to take Caleb!
