I have some catching up to do.

As usual, I have about 724 blog posts to write ... so here goes ... in my never-ending quest to "catch up." Even if no one reads these, it is important to me to get this stuff down for a future scrapbook. Not to mention, it helps to keep up with loved ones far and away. I cannot tell you how helpful--not to mention meaningful and sentimental--keeping scrapbooks and this blog has been. And it is so touching to see others (such as our nieces and nephews) treasure the scrapbooks I have made for them. Here I go, getting off on another tangent. But all of that to say ... this isn't just blogging. It's so much more. So if you don't have something to record your thoughts or your family's history or child's story ... I highly encourage you to do so. It doesn't have to be perfect. It doesn't have to be online. Just do it. You will not regret it. Seriously. You do have the time. You just have to reprioritize. :o) You can thank me later.

  1. Hi Karen! I just wanted to say that I DO READ YOUR BLOG. I started reading it when I was pregant with my son. I love how you document the silly moments, important moments, sad moments. I started a blog of my own for the exact same reasons you listed. I love having a sourse to record our crazy, busy lives. It has been one year ago this weekend since our family blog came to life! My son turns a year old this weekend. Boy, Ohhh Boy! You are just going to love having a little man to snuggle and play trucks with!
