Tanna's Birthday
We just finished celebrating Tanna's 36th birthday last night. Here are the highlights ...
Before we left for Tennessee Friday evening, we had some cookies and ice cream! So yummy--and a perfect start to the weekend!
On Saturday morning, Rebekah and Riley helped me make Tanna some blueberry muffins. He likes extra blueberries, so I use two boxes for the extra can of berries and just throw away the extra mix. Once I made some muffins out of just the mix, and they tasted awful. BTW, this photo is actually a re-enactment. It was taken Sunday morning with leftover muffins. I see Tanna is wearing the same shirt from Friday night. I guess he likes it!
On Saturday afternoon, Robin and Steven (and the girls) kept Kate, and Tanna and I went to an Indian restaurant for lunch. It had a buffet and some hot food, so you know he was happy!
Last night, back in Atlanta, we went out to celebrate his birthday again. This time, we went to Chima (pronounced "shee-ma"--I wasn't sure how to say it before). It's a Brazilian steakhouse--you know, one of the all-you-can-eat restaurants where the guys bring different meats around to your table. Tanna skipped lunch so he'd be good and hungry for dinner! He was not disappointed!
Chima has a great atmosphere--you should check it out! The customer service is excellent--and the food is outstanding. Only complaints: They do not serve Coke products, and they only have unsweet iced tea. (I was like, "What? This is Atlanta!") Right now, they are having a two-for-one special if you register for the preferred diner program on the Web site. It's free to register and a great deal!
Oh yeah--they also brought Tanna a complimentary dessert for his birthday!
