Family Photo Shoot with Daley Hake

We had new family pics taken yesterday! Yay!

A month or two ago, I was lucky to snag a mini-session spot with my awesome photog friend Jody Lynn--but I was so disappointed to have to cancel when I realized it was on the same day as my BIL's 40th birthday party. :o( But you can't be in two places at the same time, so what can you do? I figured I would have to wait until summer or fall to have family photos made again.



But ... come to find out, rockstar photographer Daley Hake was going to be in the ATL for several days--and one of them was yesterday. Our schedules just so happened to jive, so we were able to work in a photo shoot--yay! I first saw Daley's work a few years ago on the blogs of Carlos and Heather--and I loved it, of course. I saw him at Heather's blog party last fall and knew one day I wanted him to take pics of us--but with his crazy travel schedule, who knew when that would be?

Well, it was yesterday--which just so happened to be Kate's 21-month birthday. (Not that that is the reason for the pics, but there you go.)

Daley was soooo friendly, laid back and fun! He is an L.A.-area native and travels all the time, so if he is going to be in your area anytime, be sure to book a photo session. I know you want to see his work, so here you go--he got these edited images to us in a matter of hours last night. Fast work! Thanks, Daley--we love them!



















There are more, but these will do for now. ;o) BTW, Kate is eating one of Grammy's infamous suckers. It was a special treat for her, and she did not let go of that thing until we got home! LOL!
