Kate is saying more and more words lately, and we are thrilled. It is exciting to see her language develop. Just the other day, I was cleaning out her nose, and I got a nice booger out. I said, "Gross!" And she quickly echoed, "Goss!" It was hilarious.

Kate LOVES to color. She is developing a bit of an obsession with crayons and her big Little People coloring book. In fact, we are going to have to get her another one because I think all of the pages are colored on. She has smaller ones, but this giant coloring pad is perfect for her right now. We can sprawl out on the floor out in the sunroom and color away.

Anyway, the other day I was coloring with her, and I drew a star and told her, "star." She was very intrigued and asked for more by saying "mo" and doing her "more" sign. Then, I helped her draw a star by moving her hand. She thoroughly enjoyed that and kept asking for more--and then started saying "star." Now, though, she is saying "a star" because I was saying, "Do you want a star?" haha!

A couple of days ago, I drew a heart for her, and she caught on quickly. She pronounces it more like "aught," but she is consistent. Yesterday and today (well, this morning--we had a wardrobe change after nap), she was wearing clothes with at least one heart on them. She took great joy in pointing at the hearts and saying, "aught." So cute.

P.S. Kate is so funny. She likes to pick out the broken crayons and put them in a pile off to the side. Also, if she is eating goldfish crackers or Chex cereal, etc., and one is broken, she won't eat it. She'll either put the broken ones off to the side or hand them over to someone. LOL!
