Our Trip to Charlotte

Tanna had some time off last week, so we headed north on 85 to Charlotte ... The Queen City ... my former city of residence (well, one of them, at least). It had been a few years since I'd been to CLT, and we had been meaning to get up there to see some loved ones--and to visit the Billy Graham Library. (A post on that is coming soon.) We had a wonderful trip, and it was so great to connect with some of our family and friends there. Here are some highlights from our time in North Carolina last week:

We stayed with my cousin Kelly and her family. Kelly just had a baby in January, and she looks fantastic!


Meet Mike--Mike is Kelly's husband. Here he is holding their newest addition--Baby William. William is a total sweetie and sooooo cute! It was great to spend some time with Mike--we'd only met him once at their wedding reception five years ago.


This is Taylor--their firstborn. She is beautiful and has gorgeous, naturally curly hair. Taylor is 2 years old and loved showing Kate around the house and helping her along. In this photo, Kate is trying to feed one of the cats a play cookie. (Kate LOVED these cookies of Taylor's--I've already located them on amazon. She may just be getting them for her birthday. Shhhhh! Don't tell!)

On Monday, we toured the Billy Graham Library. Here we are outside on the beautiful grounds.

We met some friends for lunch. Here's Kate with her new buddies--Norah, AnnaPreston, and Nathan.

Afterward, we walked down to the BGEA offices to say hello to some former co-workers. Here we are with Jamie, Mary and Kristen.


The next day, we had lunch with some of the Decision peeps at CFA (where else?). Bob--my old boss--had literally just flown in from Uruguay. (And boy, were his arms tired! har har har) It was so great to see everyone!


On Monday night, we had dinner over at Chris and Nicole's house. It is just lovely, as are they. And look at that little guy--his name is Benjamin, and he is a cutie!


Nicole and I know each other from our Johnson City days. She's a great friend! I am so happy for her and Chris--parenthood looks good on them!

Can you tell the girls had a blast together? This is in Taylor's awesome play room. What fun we had! THANKS, EVERYONE, FOR SEEING US! It was a quick trip, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Come and see us in Atlanta!
