We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, even if it didn't go as originally planned. My sister Cindy and her family (including eight kids), who live in Spain, were supposed to fly to the States last Wednesday. Well, long story short, they missed their flight and were stuck there until Saturday. So ... we didn't see them until Sunday afternoon--just a few hours before we had to leave to drive back to Atlanta. But that's OK--we'll see them a couple of more times before they have to head back to Europe.
Here are some photo highlights from our holiday weekend ...

On Thursday, we went to Tanna's parents' for lunch. Tanna and I (mostly Tanna) prepared the food while Halmoni and Halabaji entertained Kate. I did fix my mashed potatoes (one thing I can prepare fairly well). We had a big ol' ham and a turkey breast and all the trimmings. It was de-lish!

Kate had fun on our walk around the neighborhood with Halmoni.

Here we are just before we sat down to eat. In just a matter of minutes, we were stuffed!

After lunch, we hit the road for Tennessee. This time, we stayed at my brother's house. Poor Anna-Claire was sick on Thanksgiving--but thankfully, she was all better in time for her birthday party on Saturday afternoon. I snapped this pic of my bro and his family on Thursday night.

On Friday morning, my sister and I hit the mall at 6 a.m. We weren't really looking for a whole lot--just a few gifts and such. Here is a self-portrait taken much later that morning in the Target parking lot. Our Black Friday experience was fun--the big rush started earlier than we wanted to get up, so we didn't get into any door-opening madness. (We were very saddened to hear about the Wal-mart employee in New York who was trampled to death--such a horrible tragedy.)

Friday evening, it was time for another Thanksgiving meal. This one was with my family at my brother's house. Here are Johnny and Anne with the delicious turkey.

Here is our annual group photo with the turkeys. The collection grew some this year--in fact, my Mom added three more turkeys last week. LOL!

Abigail and Anna-Claire in their matchy-matchy.

Riley, Abigail and Rebekah just before dinner.

The Skaggs Family

Grammy and Grampy with five of their grandchildren.

The Lims

On Saturday morning, Tanna and I watched the girls while Johnny went to work and Anne ran some birthday-party errands. I tried to do a little photo shoot--easier said than done. LOL!

Let's just say they were looking for Santa. ha!

On Sunday, we had our third big dinner of the weekend. This time, we had another big ol' ham--and we ate at my sister's house. Here are Steven and Tanna getting ready to slice up some supper. Can you tell that Steven was thrilled that I was taking a picture?

Sunday afternoon, Cindy, Joe and the kids arrived--what a long and tiring journey they had. Of course, the turkeys came back out to welcome them! After we ate, we had a little photo shoot downstairs.

We had a little cake to commemorate my Mom's recent 65th birthday.

Grammy, Grampy and their 13 grandkids!

My Mom always requests for a photo of her four kids--so here we are, in reverse birth order from left to right.
Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for! Thank You, Lord, for your many blessings. May our hearts always be full of gratitude for all You have done for us.
