Kate This Week ...

Kate never met a puddle she didn't like ...
  • We received the new VeggieTales DVD, St. Nicholas: A Story of Joyful Giving. I had ordered it last week, after I showed a few clips to Kate on the computer and she asked to watch them over and over (and over again). The. same. ones. I tried to show her some other VeggieTales stuff, but no ... she just wanted to watch these Christmas ones. It's a great story, and it features a short clip about Operation Christmas Child, so you know I love it. Kate still asks to watch the little excerpts on the computer though.
  • This week has been a big week for Yo Gabba Gabba as well. Something she started doing is jumping and dancing, proclaiming, "My name is (insert gibberish here). I like dance." (Sometimes she says the "to," and sometimes she doesn't.) She does this all day. Everywhere. I will tell her, "Your name is KATE." THEN she will say, while jumping/wiggling, "My name is Kate. I like (to) dance." I am glad she finally is dancing because she never really showed any interest in any movement to music before.
  • BUBBLES! We hadn't played with bubbles in a while, so I got some out the other day. I showed Kate how to catch them on the bubble wand, which she totally enjoys. She also likes for me to catch them on the wand and then let her "kiss" them to pop them. It is so cute. The Gymboree bubbles are really great, but I don't like the residue (or whatever you call it) that they leave behind.
  • We still have Halloween candy around here, and she is loving it. Suckers are her absolute favorite, though she does appreciate a good chocolate bar.
  • We tried the drop-off nursery at our church a couple of mornings. This is where Kate goes during Bible study, and she loves it. She calls it Sunday school, though it is in a different part of the church. :o) She especially loves going to the playground! She ate lunch twice there this week and did a great job--yay!
  • She has really enjoyed her Little People barn this week as well as some of her Eric Carle books (Brown Bear and Polar Bear, which she calls "animals").

  1. Just when I thought your lists were done you surprise me with another great one! I wish I kept track of all ofd the little details. I still haven't finished Chloe and Bella's scrapbooks. Let's not talk about baby books either, LOL.
