Here's Kate with our shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. I snapped this last night. I was planning on dropping them off at a nearby collection point this morning, but other errands and things on the to-do list got the best of me. The good news is ... National Collection Week runs through Monday, November 23! You have plenty of time to get your boxes filled and turned in. YAY!

Father in heaven, please take these boxes and use them for Your glory. I pray for each child who will receive one of these boxes. I pray for his or her safety and well-being. I pray that he or she would come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Father, I ask that you would take each box and brighten the life of a child with it. Please place just the right box in the right child's hands, with contents that will bless that individual child specifically. Please also be with the people who will be distributing these boxes; give them safety and protection as well as wisdom. I pray for the parents and families and friends of the children who will receive the boxes. I ask that they would know You as their Lord and Savior as well. Please give them comfort and peace. Father, thank You for Operation Christmas Child and Samaritan's Purse. Please continue to bless this outreach and ministry. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
You know, if you could somehow connect this with buying shoes to get the shoeboxes you could rival Imelda Marcos! Great job Karen. ...And a tree already? You put me to shame :)
ReplyDeleteAloha! You've inspired our family -- I just dropped off 4 gift boxes at our local collection site here in Honolulu, Hawaii. Thanks for spreading this great news!
ReplyDeleteKaren, delete vadahodges. when you click on the ... i think it connects to a porn site. Yuck!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan--it's been a busy weekend, so I have some catching up to do. BTW, the tree is just a little one I picked up last year after Christmas. I still need to get out our other Christmas stuff, but I think it will be after Thanksgiving before I get to it. ;o)
ReplyDeleteMelissa, that's awesome! THANK YOU for participating. I LOVE OCC! YAY for shoe boxes!
Thank you so much for the link! I appreciate that and gave credit where it is due!
ReplyDeleteI've heard about OCC in the past briefly, but this is the first year to particpate. I saw her video and was inspired. That was a couple of weeks ago. I kind of forgot about it. The night before the deadline the Lord prompted me again! I was so glad. We will be doing a lot more next year. I will be prepared!
Love your prayer and all your beautiful, heartfelt boxes!
God Bless!
Hi, Rhonda! OCC featured her video on its Facebook page--that's where I saw it. When you mentioned it, I remembered her video. :o) Loved your post. So glad you were able to participate this year--we just love OCC around here.
