We spent some time downtown today and enjoyed seeing one of the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan trucks--not to mention the Jolly Ol' Elf himself! I was excited to learn that one of the trucks is set up outside The World of Coca-Cola, and you can get your photo made with Santa for free! What's not to love?
I love the Coca-Cola Caravan commercials. One from several years ago I still remember--it featured a chant that went something like, "Santa packs are coming. Santa packs are coming." Remember that? It was referring, of course, to the cases of Coke cans that feature Santa on them. I have to say that I greet these Coke cans each season with a little flitter in my heart. Anyway, in that commercial, it showed the caravan of Coca-Cola trucks moving along--and, as they passed by, the landscape and surrounding area would light up. Loved it!
Sooooo ... downtown Atlanta. Today it was 70+ degrees. No joke. It is so weird for it to be so warm right before Christmas. But guess what? It was snowing! There was a little machine set up on the Coke trailer blowing out soapy "snow." Kate *loved* it. Santa is also on hand for a photo op, and you can write out a little greeting for the North Pole as well. If you are in the area, you should check it out.
