Ghirardelli Chocolate!

Isn't the lighting just wonderful in this pic? LOL! Actually, it's like the mother cocoa bean is calling us home (or at least me)! Ha! Our barefoot daughter kept kicking her shoes off--and I think this was the afternoon the strap on one of them broke. She wouldn't keep her socks on, either. Fun!

Anyway ...

I just finished baking some Ghirardelli brownies (from the mix sold at Costco--yum!), so I thought I would continue the theme by writing about our visit to Ghirardelli Square last month. Marsha and I also visited there on our trip to San Francisco back in the day (2001, was it?). Anyway, it is such a fun area, and I was looking forward to going back. The second time around was enjoyable as well. No visit to San Francisco is complete without a stop at Ghirardelli, that's for sure!

Thar she blows!

Just a couple of chocoholics. I loved walking around the square--there were a couple of VERY, VERY CUTE gift shops, and I wish I could remember their names.

Tanna and Kate outside the chocolate shop. Can you believe I didn't buy a thing? It was Mother's Day weekend, and that place was packed! I didn't feel like fighting the crowd, so I just looked and enjoyed my free sample.

Flat Stanley was with us, too! Here he is by the basket of sample squares. They were filled with peanut butter, and they were heavenly.

Kate loves chocolate--almost as much as someone else I know.

And--because I know you want to see Kate eating chocolate from every possible angle--here is another shot.

Tanna with his Ghirardelli. (Yes, I had to check the spelling a few times for this post.)

Awwww, so cute! I love these people!
