Our time in Knoxville Yesterday

"Come unto me, all you that labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest." --Matthew 11:28

I wanted to share some photos from our day in Knoxville yesterday. Also, here is the CaringBridge entry that Joe's sister Anna wrote:

Beautiful day...as the time continues to draw nearer, Daddy is more concerned with Heavenly things and uses his sparse words with care, urging us all to love Jesus more than anything or anyone else, warning of idolatry, that His coming is soon. Joe and Josh arrived safely yesterday and have been such a joy to have with us!!! Today Cindy's 2 sisters, Robin and Karen, and her brother Johnnie, were at the hospice with us, coming from Atlanta and Johnson City to see Joe and all of us...

Today we sang "Turn your eyes upon Jesus" and he lifted his hands in worship, and led the singing with his fingers keeping tune...so many sweet moments. Thank you to each one who has visited --you are a blessing to us all! Tomorrow is Father's Day and Ruthie is planning to arrive about 12 noon. We hope to have a worship service (short, as he tires very easily) in the chapel at the hospice...there is a piano and lovely stained glass..it will certainly be the last time all 6 kids will be with Daddy, and there are sure to be tears...there will also be much joy in the love that unites us, that strengthens and comforts...the Lord is our present help, our Comforter. We will try to include some pictures next time...

"Bless the Lord oh my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name..." (Ps.103) "To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the sun: a time to be born and a time to die..." (Eccles. 3:1,2)

Group shot: Johnny, Joshua, Joe, Robin and me

Here's Joe trying to use the international calling card on Paul's phone. We thought it was a great deal until he kept getting cut off. LOL! Cindy reported this morning that the card worked out just fine from a land line--YAY!

Joe's Mom, Nona--she is one of the godliest women I have ever met.

Paul, Josh & Joe--the guys at Pizza Hut

Johnny, Robin & me
We sure missed our parents and our oldest sister, Cindy, who is in England attending a conference and taking care of her other children (all seven of them). :o)

Josh and his Aunt Karen. :o) Josh is our oldest nephew.

Sweet Nona and me

Looks like Joshua is still taller than Johnny. (Abigail had asked if he was--LOL!)

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
