I absolutely LOVE this Paperchase brand! I first spotted some of these gift items at the Borders store in San Francisco. Paperchase has several very adorable designs/patterns for gifty stuff. I bought a few things in California ... and went on the hunt for more things at the Borders stores here in Atlanta. Be sure to notice the cute owl hair clips perched on top of the pencil case--these came on a card with a few others, too. So cute! Oh yeah, don't be so quick to cut off and throw away the adorable little owl tag on some of these things. It can be used on a scrapbook page or to make a card. If you're into that sort of thing.
Speaking of Borders, you totally need to sign up for the store's rewards program--and be sure to give your e-mail address. Borders sends out awesome coupons pretty regularly. I have been very impressed. A sales associate in San Francisco talked me into signing up, and I haven't been sorry. (I actually think I have been a member before, back when I was working full-time and used to go there on my lunch hour sometimes. But I think that account was tied to my work e-mail or something. But I digress.) Anyway, sign up for the rewards program so you can buy your owl (and other) goodies at a discount.
I went to Michaels the other day and picked up these owl items. The iron-on appliques were in the dollar bins, but actually rang up for less! The craft punch is a Martha Stewart item--not sure how I will use it just yet, but I will think of something. The little clip-on bird is so cute. (They had several different sizes and kinds of owl birds--some clip-on, some not.) It reminded me of some birdie Christmas ornaments that my grandmother had, so I bought one for our Christmas tree. I actually have some of my grandmother's birds as well as some others I've bought recently that resemble her originals. I think they are so neat!
I had a few other things to share, but I forgot to take photos. And I hope to have some more later. Nothing huge ... just cute and fun!
P.S. Be sure to check out Joanna's blog and the fabulous owl shirt she made--has anyone else done one? If so, please share!
Oh my , I really need one of those Owl appliques. I was looking at Joanns and didn't find anything there. They're adorable. And I love the stuff from borders too.
ReplyDeleteWe are going to be making owls toward the end of September or beginning of October. I'm using it as a fall craft for Sean. I'll keep you informed.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all of these cute owl things you found. Sean used to have a few owl outfits when he was a baby, and I'm thinking of asking if he would like an owl shirt. We'll have to boy it up a bit, but I love the idea.
Thanks for sharing your owl loot!!
I will have to look for some Owl stuff for you. :)
ReplyDeleteSome of those things are what convinced me to do an owl theme for Sam's party! Love the Borders stuff. Cost Plus has some really cute owl gift bags right now (but they're a little pricey for party favor bags IMO.
ReplyDeleteI am in owl heaven! :) Thanks for all the fun links! I have found an adorable fall owl craft for my K kids to make out of a pine cone (and you know I have millions in our yard!)-I'll have to post a link to it. It looks pretty easy and it is really cute. (famous last words-19 kids with glue, glitter, and pipe cleaners! ha!)
ReplyDeletebly!
