Cute Owl (and other) Stuff at Cracker Barrel

Have you seen the cute owl stuff at Cracker Barrel ... aka "The Crack" in our family? Well, let me show you some of the cuteness! My brother lives near a Cracker Barrel, and when I stopped in there the other night to get some takeout, I saw these adorable owl spatulas. I am holding one in the photo above. I just had to buy one. Especially when I found out all of the Halloween/harvesty stuff is was 25 percent off!


I also had to buy a box of these--because you can't find these just anywhere, folks! I like to buy a box when I have the opportunity.


Back on the owl beat ... Here is a better view of the spatula, along with a cute owl dish towel and potholder. I have a thing about dish towels. I use them. All the time. I mean, I can go through several a day if I am not careful. Drives the DH crazy. And if I stay at your house, I may or may not be constantly pulling out fresh dish towels. I apologize in advance.


So anyway, when I got to my brother's house and showed him and the SIL my cool new spatula, they proceed to tell me about the other owl goodies at The Crack ... goodies I somehow missed at my stop there. In fact, my brother pulled out these cute little plates he picked up a few weeks back. They were only $1.99. Did he get any for me ... I mean Kate? Nooooooo. ;o) (It's OK--I forgive him. LOL!) So the SIL and I went back there the next night--but to no avail. No more owl plates were available. A lady checked the back room and everything.


But look at what the lady DID find in the back room! An owl pillow! (We had asked the lady to bring out any owl things she found back there. LOL!) There was only one, and I debated about getting it, but in the end it went to my SIL. Look how cute it looks on a chair in their living room. While we were standing there, another gal spied the owl pillow in our hands and inquired about it. I felt kind of bad because it was the last one--but we really did go to The Crack just looking for owl stuff. Did you ever wonder if people went to Cracker Barrel just to shop? Yeah, that's us.


Instead of the owl pillow, I picked up this one. As my sister said, it has my name written all over it. Can you see it?


We each got this cute frame for Halloween pics. Got one for my sister, too.


Looking ahead to Thanksgiving, we bought these adorable turkey sets. They were supposed to be 40 percent off, but they only rang up 25 percent off. The difference was only about a dollar, and we didn't want to go back on a very busy night in the restaurant. Anyway, it was still a great deal for a very cute set. :o) I also bought the turkey apron I am wearing in the top photo. It was the only thing I bought that wasn't on sale. I thought about taking it back, but I really do love it. Gobble, gobble!
