Splash!

Today I made a last-minute decision to take Kate up to Duluth to see Disney's A Christmas Carol Train Tour. I'll write about that in another post, but I wanted to share what was probably Kate's favorite part of our time there ... splashing in the puddles!

When I picked up Kate from preschool after lunch, I brought along her cow boots as well as some extra clothes. It looked like it might rain and be pretty muddy, so it was a great day for the bovine boots. She adores those cow kicks, and she was thrilled to be able to wear them! She got paint on her shirt at school, so I just put her in a plain black turtleneck to go with her black pants. They were the perfect canvas to showcase those treasured boots. ha!

Anyway, there was a huge puddle in the parking area--so on our way back to the car, I let Kate run around in it. She had an absolute blast! It was a good thing I had even more extra clothes on hand because by the time we were ready to go, Kate's socks, shoes and pants were soaked! She had so much fun--she talked about splashing in the water all the way to Halmoni's house. We ran an errand with her and had a quick visit before coming back home.

This is pretty fun!

Full steam ahead!

Kate is clutching our train-ride tickets. While we were on the train ride (not the Disney train, BTW), she asked for a ticket out of the blue. I had to dig around for them and finally gave her one. Then she was like, "Other ticket?" LOL! She clutched onto both of them the rest of the time we were there.

Happy Girl!

I wish this photo was in focus! Kate loves her Halmoni and Halabaji ... as well as her Grammy and Grampy. (Speaking of Grampy, Kate has called a few older men with glasses "Grampy" in the last few days. LOL!)

  1. Toooo cute, Karen!!! Love it! So many parents don't let their kids play in puddles. Life is too short :)
