Bekah's Birthday Bash

Rebekah's 7th birthday party was last Sunday--on her actual birthday. Her theme this year was sweets--and during the planning, the focus centered on cupcakes! So cute! The party was outside at her house, and the weather was just gorgeous. She had some friends, schoolmates and neighbor kids as guests as well as her cousins and grandparents. It was so much fun!

I'll let some of the many, many photos tell the rest of the story ... with a few captions from me ... enjoy!

The Birthday Girl

Bekah requested a cupcake bar. I didn't get a picture of the finished product before the party got started--this wasn't completely set up yet. The kids decorated their own cupcakes. It was a hit!

Here's Riley with her cupcake.

Abigail enjoys the yummy treats!

What a pretty day for a party!

Party favors--wish I'd gotten a close up of the treats. They included cupcake notepads, cupcake nail polish, and cupcake lip gloss (for the girls). The guys received more guy-type things, of course.

After everyone ate, it was time for the cake walk. The "cake" prizes were these little gift boxes that looked like pieces of cake. Robin had filled them with candy.

Bekah chose the numbers for the cake walk (everyone who played ended up winning at some point). For the music, she chose Hannah Montana (what else, right?). It was so cute to watch her and one of her little girlfriends singing and dancing. They know all the words to the songs! Last weekend, I drove the girls in my sister's mini-van, and we played Hannah Montana music from Bluff City to Blountville and then to Johnson City and back. It was hilarious. They totally rocked that CD!

Kate and Grampy

The kids loved playing outside, and Kate thoroughly enjoyed the nice big yard. She loved running around--boy, she is fast, too!

Anna-Claire and her Daddy having fun at the swingset.

Kate had fun swinging, too! Here she is with Mrs. Carolyn (Steven's Mom).

She climbed into this chair all by herself.

In leiu of gifts, Rebekah requested her friends to bring items for Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. Here is a little display my sister set up.

Some of the boxes and items that people brought for the party.

Everyone went inside to watch the Operation Christmas Child DVD.

Bekah's birthday cake was a giant cupcake! It was so cute--loved it!

Rebekah had a few gifts to open, too. I love this pink wrapping with the black polka dots.

Anna-Claire snuggled with me for a few minutes. What a sweetie!
