September Scraps--How Fast They Grow
I have entered the world of digital scrapbooking! Don't get me wrong--I still love all the paper and stickers and embellishments, etc. But when I read about the site How Fast They Grow over at Sippycups ARE for Chardonnay, I had to check it out. So far, I am very impressed! I will have to let you know how the pages look in person when they arrive.
Last night, I put together three pages on How Fast They Grow. It is very simple once you get the hang of it. I had a little trouble figuring out the steps for starting a new project, but if I had watched the easy-to-follow demo before I started, I probably wouldn't have had much trouble at all. I was VERY impressed the other day--when I first registered with the site--when I had some issues with an image and e-mailed customer service about it. I figured I'd hear back in a day or so. Within minutes, I had a very nice, personal, and detailed message back in my in-box! Excellent customer service!
Anyway, I thought I'd share these pages I ordered for Kate's scrapbook. One highlights a favorite photo of mine taken not long after Kate was born--it's of Tanna falling in love with his new little girl. (You probably recognize that one.) Then I did a page for Kate's first Halloween and then one for her first Thanksgiving (up at the top of this post, obviously).
At $7.50 per page, the price seems very reasonable. Regular scrapbookers know how expensive some of the supplies can be--not counting the actual photographs! Plus ... with this system, there's no mess to clean up. Brilliant!
Shutterfly also offers templates for 12x12 and 8x8 digital scrapbook pages. I was going to give those a try last night as well, but I could not get the pages to take more than one or two photos (even though many are designed to take up to 11 photos)! I got so frustrated and spent too much time trying to figure it out. It turns out that it is a problem with the site. (I e-mailed and called Shutterfly as well, and that's the answer I received.) Anyway, it wasn't just me. I don't know if it is fixed yet. Oh well ...
Back to How Fast They Grow. I can't wait to receive the pages I ordered. I just love the layout templates and designs. I bet you will, too! Happy Scrapping!
