September Scraps--Kate's 100-Day Birthday

Hello and welcome to a new series for the month of September! It's called September Scraps, and it is my hope that it will light a fire under my ... self ... to get to working on my scrapbooks and Kate's baby book. The goal is to finish at least one page for each day in the month of September.

It's my thing, so I make up the rules. And the rules state that I don't have to create a page every day. I just need to have at least 30 finished pages by October 1. And they don't have to be all 12 x 12 and fancy-schmancy, either. They can be any size--and even created digitally or by using pre-made pages. We'll see how it goes. Knowing me, I will probably be putting a bunch of pages together the night of September 30. But I thought if I blogged about it and share the pages here, then it might hold me more accountable and help me to really stick to this and meet my goal.

So ... the point is ... you will be seeing a lot of scrapbook pages on here this month. Don't worry, all the things you have come to love about this site--photos and stories of the adorable Kate Lim--will still be featured. I don't want to disappoint you ... all 10 or so of the regulars.

Up first is the above page that I just finished a few minutes ago. I put it together in about an hour, I guess. The photos were very busy and kind of cluttery with a lot of stuff on the table, so I went with two b/w photos and one color to balance out the title. I know this is probably a surprise, but there is very little journaling--just the basics. Enjoy!

Feel free to join me in September Scraps. Set your own goals--maybe it's a page a day, a page a week, two pages a week, whatever. Join in--and let me know if you do!

  1. I totally need to do this. Chloe just turned one on Friday and I haven't scrapped since her 1 month birthday. Unfortunately, I'm back in my masters program (3 classes this semester), so I'll have to live vicariously through you for now :) Good luck!
