Weekend before last was Jasper's second birthday party. We were so excited to celebrate with Jasper and his family and friends. It was also the first time we'd seen his new house--it is beautiful! Tanna was sorry to miss the festivities, as he was finishing up with his golf tournament--but we'll all have to get-together again soon. Time flies so fast--I can't believe all these "babies" are 2 years old already!
There's the Birthday Boy! Check out his adorable train shirt--Jasper's party had a train theme.
Birthday balloons show us the way.
Kate loved, loved, loved the slide and the whole play set that came with Jasper's new house. What a lucky guy! :o) Oh, and she loved carrying this little basketball around, too.
Here comes Blake! I think it's safe to say the slide was a big hit with all the kids, who did a great job taking turns.
Hi, Graham! What a cute smile!
Kennedy--what a sweetie! She did a great job helping the little kids. :o)
Kennedy's little brother, Kendrick, helps Kate on the swing. What a gentleman!
Kate on the swing--this is big news, folks! Back at the beginning of the year, Kate's OT wanted me to get Kate on a swing more to get her used to that swinging sensation, etc. Anyway, I overdid it one day at the park and thought I had ruined swinging for her for the rest of her life. (Side note: If you see a mom trying to get her child on a swing, etc., even though said child is resisting, there might be a reason behind it, so don't give her dirty looks. OK? OK.) Since then, Kate has not been a fan of swinging. But at Jasper's party, she actually wanted to get on the swing. And she stayed there. And enjoyed it! YAY!
Isn't this the sweetest?
Blake and Mommy Allison. Blake is going to be a big brother before the end of the year--how exciting!
Playing ball with Uncle Don
Speaking of ... Here are Don and Celine. :o) Kate wore her Paris outfit to Jasper's party in honor of them--Celine is from France, and we had a fabulous time in Paris when we were over there for their wedding. In fact, the first time I met Jane and Jeremy was when we were in France. (Tanna has known Don and Jeremy and family for yeeeeeeeaaaarrrrs. They go way back.)
Check out the fabulous train cake Jane and her mom made!
Speaking of cake, here is Jane bringing the cake out to Jasper.
I think he was a little overwhelmed.
But once the cake was in clear sight, all was well. :o)
There was a Thomas the Tank Engine cupcake cake, too!
Kate got her cake to go. She was so excited about that piece of cake, let me tell you. Can you see how proud she is, carrying it all by herself to the car? She talked about that cake ("choo-choo train cake") all week last week.
Tanna took this picture of us after we all were home for the evening. What a very fun-filled day! I think we all slept well that night. :o) Thanks again, Jasper, for a great party!
Karen, what great pics! Thank you so much for being such a great photographer, these are much better than the ones we got! We're glad you could make it! See ya'll soon!
