Abigail's Candy Land Birthday Party

We celebrated Abigail's 6th birthday a couple of weeks ago at her house in Tennessee. Abba chose a Candy Land theme for the festivities--and her parents did not disappoint! For starters, check out the awesome birthday cake that their friend Lynette made. Not only did it look fantastic, but also it was delicious! I have uploaded a ton of photos, so I will let them tell the rest of the story. Happy Birthday, Abigail--thank you for a great party and a very fun time! BLY!

Waiting for her guests to arrive

And then BIRTHDAY CAKE!

Party Guests

Anna-Claire and Kate finally woke up from their naps to enjoy the festivities.

After eating, the girls make a candy craft.

Steven got in on the fun, too.

Anne and GiGi

Having a blast!

Before heading outside, we got a group shot of the girlies.

The new play set was a hit, to put it mildly!

The Birthday Girl LOVED being able to play outside at her party! It is usually cold on her big day, but I think there were record highs this year. The weather was gorgeous--just perfect. I guess we can thank Al Gore and his global warming. Thanks, Al!

Swing set fun!

She took off--it was just like Little House. hahaha

Grampy went to get her. :o)

  6. I found your blog while searching for candyland birthday cakes!! My daughter and her two babes are coming for a visit next week and I would like to make them a cake just like your Abigail's. My grandbabes were 8 and 5 in March and they had to cancel their party because their dad became very ill...and the party just never happened. My daughter told me on the phone tonight that the kids had wanted a candyland party, so I started searching for cake ideas online. Found a few on coolestcakes.com (I think), but the cake your friend made is adorable and I think the kids would love it! Would your friend share how she made your daughter's peppermint name and the candyland name??!!
Her cake is fantastic and I hope I can make my grandkids one they will love.
    Thank you,
    Cindy
