Abigail at her birthday party last year. She had a Build-A-Bear theme.
Today is our niece Abigail's 6th birthday! It's hard to believe that it's been six years since I received an early-morning phone call that Abigail was on her way and would soon make her debut. I drove to Tennessee from Charlotte that day in time for her big arrival. What a special day that was!
Baby Abigail ... or "Abba" or "Abs," as we affectionately call her ... is now a sweet little girl. She is in kindergarten this year and is really flourishing. She is a fabulous reader and a great helper, especially when it comes to her little sister, Anna-Claire. Abba *loves* animals, and I can't wait to take her to the Yellow River Game Ranch. (More on that in an upcoming post--Grammy and I agreed that she would love it.) Abba loves ice cream and the movie "Snow Buddies" (which also explains her love for husky dogs). She also is quite fond of American Girl dolls and accessories as well as Beanie Babies and Build-A-Bear items. She is active in her church and takes dance, too--she is a busy girl!
We are looking forward to attending Abigail's birthday party next weekend in Tennessee. We love you Abba, and we can't wait to see you in a few days! Happy Birthday, Pretty Girl!
Abba's 3rd birthday party--she had a butterfly theme.
Abba and me on her 4th birthday--this is in her preschool classroom. I got to go to her little class party that day. So fun!
Abba's 4th birthday party was at McDonald's--2007. What a fun party that was! Here she is with Riley and Rebekah before the festivities started.
Abs and her family just before her party last year.
Here's Abigail with Anna-Claire and Kate, who was less than a month old.
Reading with her Uncle Tanna.

And ... last but not least ... here's Abigail last December during our family Christmas weekend at River's Way lodge in Tennessee.
Happy Birthday!
I love that blog you wrote Aunt Bebe. Thanks for writing about me! I love you!

See you soon.
Thank you for that sweet, sweet birthday post, Karen. I wish you could have seen Abba's face while she read it-she was so happy. We can't wait to see you all in a few days.
