Abigail's Makeover

Before

After

A couple of weeks ago, we went to Tennessee for Abigail's birthday party. (That post is coming soon--I have fallen behind again.) For her birthday, the Skaggs family got Abba a big makeup kit and several fun dress-up accessories and the like. As it turns out, the Club Libby Lu in The Mall at Johnson City (aka "The Miracle Mall") closed, so they thought she could have her own Libby Lu at home. And so we did! I gave Abba a makeover on Sunday morning. She even let me straighten her hair. I have asked her before, and she has always passed on the offer. This time, though, she agreed! She apparently was afraid that it would stay straight--but I assured her that when she washed it, it would go back to its naturally curly state. We had a lot of fun!

I am totally cracking up at the "before" photo. In the first one I took, she was smiling a little too much, so I had her play into the typical look of someone who is about to get a makeover. You know what I am talking about. Ha!

The first "before" shot.

Pretty as a princess!

  3. lol! That before pic just cracks me up everytime I see it! Thank you for playing makeover with her that morning. She is still talking about it (and her straight hair that turned curly again during her bath that night!) ;) She looks so grown up in that after pic with her straight hair-hope she doesn't start requesting straight hair before school in the mornings. lol!
