More from Grammy's Visit

Our week with Grammy last month went by fast! Here are a few more highlights from our time together:

Kate is ready to welcome Grammy at the airport.

Hair appointment at Lenox

Mother/Daughter
Do you like my "clock"? I know some people who can't stand it. It's actually a charger plate, and I loved it from the moment I saw it in a press kit photo (back when I worked in the lifestyles department of a newspaper). I was able to special order it from Redding China (remember that store?) for a ridiculous amount of money. (No way would I pay that for a plate these days! But I was young ...) Anyway, I still like it--despite (or because of) the fact that people look at it and think it's a real clock. LOL! As a quote my brother shared with me goes ... even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Mom loves to read newspapers--especially the Sunday paper!

We worked on some family history. Here is an old clipping of my Mom and Grandmother milking a big ol' cow on their family farm.

And the aquarium!

In the tunnel

Kate loved all the fish!

She loved running around even more!

Cheese!

Mom's favorite part was the penguin exhibit--except they were off exhibit. But you could go back in a hallway as part of an escorted group to see them for a few minutes.

Bye!

  2. Fun! Fun! Your mom's picture with the cows reminded me of Ed's grandma's picture showing of cow. I've lived in the city all my lifes so I was so fascinated when I first saw it.
