This morning, some very special friends--Kristin, Santiago and Bella-- came to visit ... all the way from Boone! Really, they drove over from Tucker (where Santiago's Mom lives), but they are visiting the ATL from the High Country. Kristin and Santiago were among my very first friends when I moved to North Carolina back in 2001. In fact, they were there to help unload the big ol' moving truck my Dad drove from Maryville, Tennessee. They helped me move again and again, too! If that doesn't tell you how special they are, then I don't know what does. :o)
Seeing the Espinosa family was great! It is so nice to see old friends that you can be yourself around--just like pulling on a favorite sweater when the temperatures take their first plunge of the season. Even though we may not talk every week or even every month, we always fall right back into place--just like old times. We share lots of fond (and some not-so-fond) memories, and I look forward to creating many more warm memories with our little girls beside us. Tanna was bummed that he missed their visit, but we will have to get together again in the near future. After all, we're due for a trip to Boone sometime soon!
Bella and Kate had a ball running around and playing this morning.
Santiago and Kate. Check out Santiago's BIIIII-CEP! (Inside joke)
We hit Lenox for lunch ... and other fun stuff.
You *so* know we rode The Pink Pig!
Twice, actually!
Bella enjoyed her first full CFA experience.
The girls were big stuff sitting in these high chairs.
They were so dang cute, we could hardly stand it!
Kate with Mrs. Kristin--saying goodbye is hard to do!
Yeah, company! I love fun company. Please tell me you had a photo shoot!
