See You at the Zoo!

Yesterday we met some friends at the zoo. (Where else, right?) It had actually been a few weeks since we'd been to the zoo--shocker, I know! The weather here has been gorgeous the last few days, and yesterday's temperatures did not disappoint. The moms had a great time chatting it up while the babes enjoyed looking at each other (and the animals ... well, at least a few of them). Here are some photo highlights:

Kate wore an elephant outfit for some last-minute campaigning. She also wanted to remember Dottie, Zoo Atlanta's elephant who died last week, and her unborn baby. We were so sad to hear about the loss of Dottie and her first calf.

For some reason, I didn't get a photo of Jasper in his stroller yesterday. :o( Next time, buddy!


We had fun watching the gorillas. And they watched us a little, too.

Look at these little turtles enjoying a Caesar salad. haha! Myra pointed out that you can distinguish them from each other by the red dots on their shells. See?


There were lots of animals out at the petting zoo. I took Kate in, but she wasn't really interested in petting them. We was, however, interested in playing in the animals' drinking water. (Yuck.)

We had a great time, everyone! We love to go to the zoo--and it's always nice to spend time with friends and to enjoy some adult conversation. Hope to see you all again soon!
