Earlier this evening, Tanna took Kate to Father-Daughter Night at an area Chick-fil-A. We just saw the sign for this the other day, and it just so happened to fit into their busy schedules. :o)
Kate wore a pretty purple dress with matching leggings and shoes. She also wore a purple sweater because it had been raining all day, and there could be a bit of a chill in the air. She looked so cute for her big night out with Ah-Pah.
Tanna wore a brown long-sleeved button-up shirt (untucked) and jeans. I can't remember what shoes he wore, but I am assuming that they were brown.
Our camera bit the dust earlier this week. (I KNOW! So sad! But we have another one on the way--just a newer version of our old one. I love those little Canon PowerShots, but I digress ...) As you can imagine, I was worried about getting adequate photos of this big night. Well, I have to say ... Tanna did an excellent job of capturing some of the details on his iPhone camera. He even sent some while they were still out and about. Reporting from the field--that is pretty impressive!
Anyway, Tanna said that it was a nice event. Apparently, this is a regular thing at some CFAs. My BIL Steven took his two girls (Bekah and Riley) to a one at a CFA in Johnson City (Tennessee) a few weeks ago. At the one here in Atlanta, CFA gave Tanna a little poem about fatherhood as well as a coupon. Score! Tanna and Kate also had their photo taken, and we can pick it up next week at that particular CFA. Isn't that nice? I thought so, too. Tanna said they also had some crafts and activities, but they were more suited for older kids.
Here are some of the photos Tanna took--I think he did very well! They had a great time, and I hope this is one of many more daddy-daughter dates to come.
On the way ...
Fun ... Chick-fil-A style!
Even the cow is all decked out!
Kate ate some nuggets and fries, although she didn't eat as much as she normally does. (Nerves, I guess. LOL!)
Is anyone watching this kid?
Kate was given a pretty purple balloon that matched her outfit. She LOVED the balloon!
Thank you, CFA! We'll be back!
She looks so cute (and tall)! Love the outfit!

How Sweet! Tanna did a great job capturing photos. She looks so adorable on her outfit.
ReplyDeleteKudos to Tanna. Great iPhone photos!
ReplyDeleteHow cool! Tanna did a super job taking photos (he has a good teacher, you know) :) I would like to compliment him on how he had Kate properly snapped into the car seat. It has been my 'observation' that most dads do not get the clip across the chest (that is supposed to be at armpit level) secured correctly. (Usually it is down near the tummy) :) Oh, speaking of the iPhone, did you know that with your Verizon account you can plug his AT&T number into your 'Friends and Family list' and your calls to him will not cost you minutes!
ReplyDeleteThat is sooo cool! I told Kenny and he wants to find out if they do it here in Birmingham. How did you know about it?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great night! Tanna did a wonderful job documenting the evening- I can't wait to see if our CFA's do a Daddy Daughter night. This is a great idea. Kate looks beautiful in her purple and Tanna looks handsome in his ensemble. :) The cow's sign has cracked me up- "hooked on phonics worked for me" :)
ReplyDeletebly!
Thanks, everyone! Lori, we just happened to see a sign at this particular CFA--that's how we found out about it. Anne, Steven, Rebekah and Riley went to one in JC. Maybe Kingsport does it, too. Not sure how often they happen, but I kind of got the feeling it is a regular or semi-regular event.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. Daddy Daughter nights are the best! I'm so proud he picked a purple balloon to match her outfit. I'm also glad to know what he wore. LOL. You're a hoot.
ReplyDeleteit just "happened" to fit into our busy schedules, huh? i think the threats helped a little. ha! also, a purple balloon just happened to be nearest the lady when i asked for one but when she said purple, i knew it was the one just for her.
