Botanical Gardens

Yesterday we went to the Atlanta Botanical Garden with Diana and Jamie. I ended up getting a membership, too--but just an individual membership because Kate is free anyway until she turns 3.

This was the first time I'd been since the ABG opened its new parking deck and entrance, etc. It is nice, but I would rather not pay for parking. LOL! We went to storytime in the children's area--but on-the-go Kate wasn't feeling it after a little while, so we moved on. We were going to take the girls to the fountain area, but decided it wasn't worth changing them at the time for such a small water-play area. Maybe next time, though.

We had a nice time. We walked around the grounds, and Kate had a blast pushing her stroller. She also had a nice meltdown as we were leaving and I wouldn't let her push the stroller in the parking garage. Fun times! The girls got a few mosquito bites as souvenirs. Yuck!

I hope the bugs and humidity decide to stay away for our next visit. I am looking forward to seeing the scarecrows that will be on exhibit in October--and, of course, to Christmastime in the garden. Should be lots of fun! Maybe we'll see you there!

Di and Jamie look at the frogs in the pond. Well, actually, they are looking at me and the camera in this photo, but they *were* looking at the frogs in the pond.

See the frogs?

Kate wore a dress with flowers on it for our visit. No flowers were harmed in the making of this photo. Di picked up this bloom that was on the ground and gave it to Kate. Kate held onto it for a good while--she just loved it and kept saying, "Pretty flower!"

See you next time! Ribbit! Ribbit!
