Check out these cool pencils I got for free at the Coach store over the weekend! I heard about this sweet deal on 11Alive. (By the way, if you haven't been watching Valerie Hoff's Ways to Save, then you are really missing out!)
Anyway, to get a box of these colorful pencils, all you have to do is become a fan of Coach on Facebook. On the fan page, you'll find a link that will direct you to another page, where you will give your name and other info. Then you can print a page to take to a Coach store to get your pencils. It's that easy. Val did say on the news the other night that you may want to call ahead to see if your local Coach store still has the pencils. I went to the Phipps store on Saturday, and they had them there. Just be sure to have that printout--I don't think you can get the pencils without it.
While I was waiting for the pencils, I thought I could maybe buy something. Tanna really likes to buy something from stores that have giveaways like this. Heck, he doesn't even like to use the restroom at a store without buying something. It comes from years of his parents owning a convenience store, and people coming in to use the facilities without buying so much as a stick of gum. But I digress ...
Anyway, I saw the CUTEST keychains--but at $38 a piece, I did not buy a one. I couldn't believe they cost that much. You know, now that I think of it, I believe my keychain is a Coach--but it was a gift from my brother years ago ... and I am pretty sure it came from the outlet store. Soooo ... sorry, Tanna, but I got my free pencils and left. (I don't think he will mind, given the cost of the merchandise in there.) I suppose I am doing my own part in spreading the word about the pencil promo and also by showing you these cuties who will hold your keys:

Adorable!

In other freebie news, we used some of our Publix coupons from the baby/preschool program to get a free bar of soap--it is really cute, too:
If you have a little one and haven't signed up for the Publix Baby Club or the Publix Preschool Pals program, then you need to! You get lots of fantastic coupons--and even some fabulous freebies! I heart Publix!
So what am I going to do with these great goodies I got over the weekend? Well, I am glad you asked! They will be added to my Operation Christmas Child stash. That's right--I'll be putting them in our OCC shoe boxes later this year. I'd like to see if I can fill a box with all giveaways (or really close) one year. Not sure if I can do it this year, as I have bought a lot for shoe boxes already ... and I want to make sure that the giveaway stuff is GOOD stuff, too. You know what I mean. These two things definitely qualify, though.
