Sprayground Surprises!

Tanna had to work last Saturday, so Kate and I ventured out in the morning to get into some sort of trouble. I thought we could hit the playground, but I brought along her bathing suit and a swim diaper ... just in case. And boy, I am glad I did!

We ventured north to Roswell. After stopping at a great yard sale for a bit--Kate loved playing with all the toys there, and I bought her a cool Barbie car that she is loving this week--we made it over to the playground/sprayground at Riverside Park.

We went to the playground. The last time we were here, we were at the sprayground, and Kate kept wanting to visit the playground. Well, this time it was the other way around. It was already hot at 10 a.m., and this particular playground doesn't offer a lot of shade. So after a few minutes of playing, I suited Kate up for some spraying.

She loved it! I was surprised how quickly she took to the fountains because earlier in the week we had visited the fountains at Centennial Olympic Park downtown, and she wanted nothing to do with them (again). But these particular fountains in Roswell are more toddler friendly, IMO.

Kate thoroughly enjoyed herself. I wish I would have thought to bring some cups or some little balls or something. Kate kept eyeing these balls that these little boys were playing with. She actually stole them a time or two (in addition to another pink squishy toy another child had), and it was funny to watch her as she seemed to plot out her next move. Mommy had to be quick to return the swiped items to their proper owners!

It wasn't too crowded when we first got there, but people started filing in pretty quickly. It's a great activity for the kids--and it's free!

Look--it's William! After a little while, we saw a familiar face. :o)

And a few minutes later, we saw Hailey! This sprayground sure is a popular place!

Here are Kate, Hailey and William. Getting three toddlers in the same frame--with their faces showing, no less--is quite an accomplishment! Props to Donna (William's Mommy), who snapped this photo.

We were literally walking to the car when I heard someone call my name--and look who it was! Chip, Luann, Trey and Shelby were there, too. So we stayed to play a little while longer.

Kate is pointing to a dog in this pic.

Trey is having a blast!

Sweet Shelby had fun, too!

We had a great time--what a fun morning it turned out to be. Seeing so many friends at the sprayground was such a delightful surprise! Yay!
