Let's Do The Zoo!

So we finally renewed our zoo membership back in April. And we already have gotten our money's worth--and then some. And then some more. Seriously, the zoo membership is the best membership to have in Atlanta. (We joined the children's museum back in December and still have not gotten our money's worth out of that deal. Plus, you have to pay for parking. Blech. We *have* gotten our money's worth out of our aquarium membership, but parking there sets us back at least $8--and that's with a member discount. But I digress ...)

We went to the zoo twice last week and had a great time. We took some friends, too. Our membership this year allows us to bring up to two adults and up to four children as guests--what a deal! And kids 2 and younger are free anyway! This really is the best membership deal in Atlanta, especially if you have a large family, a lot of out-of-town visitors or just like to meet friends at the zoo. Plus, parking at the zoo is F-R-E-E! That's zero dollars and zero cents, folks!

Back in April, we met friends Sam and Evie (and their mommies, Lee Anne and Michelle). Here are the cute girls in front of the rhino exhibit.



In May, we met Jamie and Cammie (as well as Diana and Georgia) for a morning of zoo fun.



Before May was over, we met the Henrys--a special family ... and friends of my sister Cindy and BIL Joe for years and years. This is a great example of what an awesome deal our zoo membership is. ALL of us pictured above (with the exception of the random man in the background--LOL!) got in free with my member pass--that's me (the member), Kate (free anyway), two adult guests and four children younger than 18! If we'd all had to pay ... well, it would have cost $100+ (because regular zoo admission for visitors 12 and older is $18.99 ... but with our membership, a child guest counts as younger than 18). What a deal!



In July, we met Diana, Jamie and friend Jordan at the zoo.

And we went again the next day to meet Yen-Wen and daughter Macy. Diana and Jamie joined us, too!
