Crawfish Boil

Tradition dictates that Tanna do a crawfish boil when his brother's family visits each year. Tanna is a Tulane graduate, so he is a big fan of New Orleans/Cajun cuisine. And he is an excellent cook. While I don't eat the crawfish, I do enjoy the corn and potatoes. The crawfish boil usually turns into somewhat of an event, and an enjoyable one at that! We hope to have another one very soon as a thank-you to those who helped us move.

Crawfish in a bucket

Look, Mom! Bare hands! ... Oh yeah, Mike cut Kylie's hair that afternoon--looks so cute!

Kate called the crawfish "spiders" at first. LOL!

The kids love the crawfish, which Tanna orders from somewhere in Louisiana.

Kylie has a heart for creatures of all kinds. (Doesn't stop her from eating them, though. ;o))

Darlene helps Tanna get the grub inside without making too much of a mess.

Don't you love the fake smile? ;o) Tanna is over the photos at this point. LOL!

Time to eat!
