It snowed while we were in Tennessee last month. More than once, actually. I was not very excited about it at first because it changed our plans for two days. But it turned out OK, and we had some fun while we were snowed in. While the snow put a damper on my plans, it was beautiful. It reminded me of the hymn "Jesus Paid It All," which I had listened to Fernando sing on my drive up to Tennessee. The lyrics go: "Jesus paid it all; all to Him I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain; He washed it white as snow."
Northeast Tennessee--as other places--has received a crazy amount of snow this year. Rebekah and Riley have missed a bunch of school days because of it. I am not sure how many days schools have been closed, but I know it's in the double digits. This particular week, they missed two days on account of the snow.
On the first snow day, we hung out at home--played Barbies, read books, and did makeovers! Here are Bekah and Riley's "before" photos--they completely crack me up!
And ... "after" ... (be sure to note the fingernail polish and bling ;o))

The next day, we went to the mall for a little while to get out of the house. We had a great time!
Thanks, Anna-Claire, for letting Kate borrow your nice puffy coat! It was perfect.
At the mall ... I was getting ready to pay for one of these expensive strollers--I think it's $5 and you get $1 back when you return it. Anyway, at the same time, another family was returning this one. So I paid the guy $2 to give it to me, and we got $1 back when we turned it in. Yay!

And another photo ... here's a pic of Aunt Robin with a fun owl book she got for Kate. Thanks again--we love it!
P.S. I should note that during this time, our camera was putting a black circle/shadow in the middle of photos. So that's what you see in the pictures. Don't call Ghostbusters just yet.
I still hate snow. No matter what amount of beautiful hymns you play I'm still sick of the white stuff this year :P It's nice to see what you did. Looks like fun and what a great bargain on the stroller. :)
