Hello, Everyone! It's Baby Kate, and I am guest-posting tonight!As you know, I'm 9 months old now, which means I was due for another visit to the pediatrician. We went yesterday, and I got a good report. I am still growing and developing all the time--I weigh 19 pounds, 13 ounces (70th percentile, I think--Mommy actually thought I would weigh more), and I am a whopping 29 inches long (95th percentile). I didn't get any shots this time--which was a pleasant surprise! But I think I overheard Dr. G tell my Mom that I'd be getting some at my next visit.
Word on the street is that my stranger anxiety is completely normal--especially for babies my age. No wonder I was crying so much at church the other day. The nursery people called my parents, and they came to get me. I felt a lot better then. Mommy says we need to keep working on this.
Also, I want to send props and a big THANK-YOU to Michelle Sinclair Colman, author of Urban Babies Wear Black, who sent me this very cool UBWB shirt. Wasn't that sweet of her? I thought so, too, and my Mommy thinks it's just adorable. You know she couldn't wait for another photo shoot!
In other news, I'm cruising around the living-room furniture more and more. And I've been enjoying playing with my toys out in the sunroom--we spend a lot of time out there. It's nice because I can crawl and play and make a mess, and it doesn't really matter. I also am getting a couple more teeth in, too! My front ones still haven't come in all the way, but the two on either side of those are starting to make an appearance if you look real close! I was up really late the other night because they were kind of bothering me. But I guess that's par for the course. Speaking of ... did you watch the Masters over the weekend? My Ah-pah did. He likes golf.
