July 6, 2007, was my due date. Or Kate's due date. That's confusing to me. Is it the mother's due date or the child's? Or both? As Tanna says, why does it have to be one or the other (Western way of thinking) ... why not both (Eastern way of thinking)? (I think that's how it goes.)
Anyway, I got so used to saying "July 6th" when answering the due-date question during pregnancy, that that date is ingrained in my brain. So much so that I will find myself almost saying "July 6th" when people ask me when Kate's birthday is. But it's not. It's the 8th.

My due date was August 27th and whenever I'm asked my daughters birthday I always have to stop and think, oh yeah, I had her on the

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean-since our scheduled c-section was set-up for Dec.1st with A-C, I have to catch myself from saying that her bday is 12.1 since she came on her own on Nov. 30th. I'm getting better at it now, but the first year was bad. :) I'm glad to know I'm not the only one!
