Last night we had some friends over for dinner for a last-minute dinner party of sorts. You see, when my family was in town a couple of weeks ago, I bought a bunch of food. But we ended up eating out or getting takeout when everyone was here ... so we had all of this food (including a nine-pound ham) just waiting to be eaten. Wednesday night, I told Tanna that we needed to get some people over here to eat!

So on Thursday, we started asking folks if they wanted to come over for dinner Friday night. Some people had plans, of course, but seven people made it over. It is the most number of cars (five!) belonging to guests of ours that have visited at once. And everyone was able to find a parking spot! Incredible!

In addition to the ham, Tanna made some clam chowder--and we also had crescent rolls, green beans, salad, and (my contribution) chocolate-chip cookies! It was a fun night--thanks, everyone, for not letting all the food go to waste. We enjoyed visiting with friends and hanging out.
Here are some more photos--it was a very informal get-together. We're pretty casual people, if you couldn't tell ... haha!
Burt and Daniel--yes, these guys are doctors. If you are worried about the state of health care, you should be. Just kidding!
Don and Celine--Don and Celine are the lovebirds who got married in France a couple of years ago. (Celine is from France.) Their wedding celebration was so beautiful--like a fairytale! I thought this was so sweet: Don said his vows in French, and Celine said hers in English.
Awwwwwwww, Mr. David brought Kate a present! What a sweetie!
David and Tanna. When we were in France, we ran around with David a lot. He likes to give me a hard time about how many pictures I take, but I think he really likes all the photos! (Tanna, David and Don went to high school together.)
Daniel--Daniel was the go-to google guy of the evening. LOL! (He kept looking stuff up on the Internet for the group.) There's the infamous Tanna bobble head in the background.
Burt--see what I mean about the challenge of getting a good pic?
Looks like your dinner was a lot of fun.
