When Kate was a month old, Tanna marked her height on the wall out in the sunroom. We didn't keep up with this as the months went by, but we did mark her height again yesterday on her one-year birthday. Look at the difference!

You can see the one-month line peeking out there at the top of the white border on Kate's little outfit. The lines aren't the prettiest, and the writing isn't the neatest (Hi, Honey!)--but it's amazing to see how much she's grown in the last 11 months.
ETA: Yeah, the bottom line isn't very accurate. It measures only about 13 inches up from the carpet. Kate was 20 inches when she was born. For some reason, I don't think she shrunk seven inches in her first month. ha!
I did measure the second line, though, and it is pretty accurate--same measurement (30 inches) we got at the pediatrician's office the other day.
