Surf and Sand

I have a lot of catching up to do around here! I realized that I didn't post beach pics from our trip to Jekyll last month. So ... here ya go ...

We went to the beach twice while we were there. The first time, we got there in the afternoon, and it was smokin' hot! Hooooooo-weeeee! We were hoping that Kate would fall asleep in the beach tent we borrowed from Johnny and Anne, but it was a no-go. She slept so peacefully in the tent when we went to the beach back in May. Peed in it, too.

This time, she was not a happy camper and was pretty cranky. Jimmy Buffett would be so disappointed. I tried to tell her to relax, that it was 5 o'clock somewhere--but that didn't seem to help. She finally came around after I changed her back into regular clothes. THEN she wanted to play on the beach!

The next day, we decided to go to the beach in the evening after supper. It was overcast and not as hot--and a lot less crowded. Kate was her old beachy self! Yay! She thoroughly enjoyed crawling around on the sand--and eating some, too. She could walk a decent walk at the time, but she mostly just wanted to crawl.

I love this photo with Tanna's shadow/reflection in the background. :o)

Here are a few more pics--enjoy!

Kate found a crab ...

... AND a lobster!

We were laughing about her tracks in the sand. When my sister saw this, she said, "Was she going to lay her eggs on the beach?" LOL!

Oh, wow! Look at the time--gotta run!

  2. Great pictures! What a little beach babe! So she wasn't into the tent this time around? Oh well! It looks like she had plenty of fun crawling around the beach though! :)
