Abigail's Dog-Themed Birthday Party

Abigail LOVES dogs. And so it seemed very fitting for her to have a dog-themed party for her 7th birthday last March. It was a lot of fun!

Abigail and Anna-Claire model their dog shirts before the party starts.

Cute balloons

Plates and napkins of the canine variety

Dogs, dogs ... everywhere!

What's for lunch? Hot dogs, of course!

Don't forget the Scooby Snacks!

Check out the Husky cake--Abigail has a special place in her heart for Huskies.

Wait--he needs a Scooby Snack! (And a No. 7 candle stuck in his back--LOL!)

For an activity and as part of the party favor, guests painted and decorated these dog houses and little bobble-head dogs (and their treat bags, too).

See? So cute! In the basket are dog-themed socks for party-goers to take home. Arf!

Here is the activity table all set up.

Party guests hard at work ...

And some of the finished masterpieces!

Abigail collected donations for a local animal shelter. She delivered them a few days later.

Party girls!

During the festivities, Aunt Cindy called the Birthday Girl all the way from Spain!

See this wrapping paper? Abigail saw it in Target back around Christmas and said she'd like to have her birthday gifts wrapped in it. LOL! There was a gift bag with this same pattern as well. Too funny!

Abigail received several dog-themed gifts, including a couple of special ceramic dogs from Grammy and Grampy. The dogs were made by our Great Aunt Edith, and they now sit on a special shelf in Abigail's room.

Before the end of the day, a package arrived from American Girl just in time! Yay! Abigail's present from her GiGi and Papa!

Speaking of ... Here's Abba with her Papa ...

... and a quick pic with GiGi and A-C.

Aunt Robin and Uncle Steven

Aunt BeBe and Kate

A quick cousin pic of the girls in their doggie sweaters--so cute!

  1. How fun! I can't believe that your nieces call you Aunt Bebe---same here. I've always been Aunt Bebe to mine. Funny story, we were spelling names. I wrote D-O-N-N-A. My youngest niece said, "Is that how you spell Bebe?" :)
