Isaac: New Photos and a WBC!

I was absolutely thrilled on Tuesday to receive two new photos of Isaac as well as a report from his WBC (well-baby checkup)! To say I'd been stalking my e-mail looking for some news from Korea would be an understatement. I know he usually goes in for his monthly appointment toward the end of the month, so I was expecting--or at least really hoping for--something this week.

We also had sent another care package a few weeks back, so I wondered if we might receive a photo or two of Isaac (and perhaps his foster mother) with the gifts. A lot of times, when you send a care package, you may receive pictures of your child with the items you sent as a thank-you. While we didn't get photos of Isaac with the care-package stuff, we did receive two photos of him with D.J., a social worker at the Holt office in Seoul. What a treat! He is growing and looks soooo cute!

We also received his June WBC. His appointment was June 25th--my brother's birthday. Isaac is 9 months old now and weighs 8.8 kilograms (19.4 pounds) and is 73.1 centimeters (28.779 inches) tall. Of course, he continues to be described as "cute & handsome" in the general-appearance category. :o) But I didn't have to tell you that--you can see for yourself!

I must say ... the waiting from referral to travel is much more difficult than waiting for a referral (though I know our wait for a referral was not that long at all). But it seems harder to wait when you know who you're waiting for. At any rate, I was so grateful for this update. Thank You, Lord, for this encouragement and answer to prayer.
