He has a visa!

Today was Isaac's visa interview, so I called DC this morning before 9 o'clock. The business day in Korea was over, so I figured his interview already had taken place. And sure enough, it had. Isaac was issued his visa today! YAY! We are so thankful.

"He's adorable," the visa specialist said. "Congratulations!"

Now we wait for our travel call. This could be as early as tomorrow (doubtful) or even still a few weeks away. I've seen both situations with other adoptive families in the Korean program. We are using an escort to bring Isaac to Atlanta, and escorting can sometimes take longer because the Korean agency has to arrange an escort and book all the travel, etc. (If you are traveling, you receive a call when your child is travel-ready and you make all your own arrangements.) Anyway, we understand that escorting can take a little longer--we knew that up front. Also, some key personnel from the Korean agency are out of the office (and actually in the States for meetings this week). I don't know for sure, but I wonder if that might be cause for further delay. Who knows?

Who knows? God knows, that's who. And His timing is perfect. So we'll be waiting.

I'll be waiting. I may be young or old and gray, counting the days.
But I'll be waiting. And when I finally see you come, I'll run to meet you.
