Home Again, Home Again ...

Getting tickled!

We are back from our travels! We arrived in Atlanta last night--and our journey home was a night-and-day difference from our trip up. NIGHT AND DAY!

I guess I should back up and say that we spent the last three nights of our trip in Boston. Tanna attended a conference, and Kate and I ran around the city a bit. Of course, Tanna joined us when he could. We had a great time, and I will be posting about it this week. I know you just can't wait. haha! ;o)

Anyway, we got to the airport yesterday with plenty of time before takeoff. We considered taking an earlier flight, but we didn't want to pay any extra money to do so. (It was going to be another $100! Whatever, people.) It's a good thing, too, because that earlier flight ended up being delayed.

To pass the time, we let Kate run around the terminal--which wasn't very crowded at all, thankfully. Then we strapped her in her car seat and started up the Little People DVD. Of course, she was in her Little People trance and enjoyed it. Kate even made a little friend--a 2.5-year-old girl who was traveling to the Atlanta area with her father. She watched the Little People DVD, too.

Tanna checked in with the airline ladies at the gate--and one was an absolute angel. She arranged for us to have three seats together, taking up one side of the aisle. This meant that we could take our car seat on the plane, and Kate would be strapped in for the flight. OUTSTANDING! I cannot emphasize what a difference this was. Kate slept almost the entire flight--something that I am almost certain would not have been the case if we'd had to hold her in our laps (like on the flight up to Boston). Of course, this flight wasn't completely full like our first one was. We were very thankful, and I wish I could give that airline lady a big ol' hug!

Tanna played trivia on the flight--and won! I actually got to read a magazine--wow!

Tanna's Dad picked us up at the airport, and it was so nice to be back at home--though we had a WONDERFUL trip and made so many great memories. I still have a ton of photos to share, so be prepared! LOL!

Today we went to church, and Tanna worked in the nursery. Too bad I forgot the camera this morning! haha. Later, we went to see his parents. His Mom is flying out to California tomorrow to visit her brother--please pray for him, as he was recently diagnosed with cancer. He and his family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I can't believe October is more than halfway over. Time is really flying!

  3. Welcome home! We have never flown with Norah in her own seat...but I think I see how good that could be! I know what it is like to hold a mobile one on a plane...NOT SO FUN.
