Scrapbooking Update

Hi, Friends! Remember my scrapbooking goal for September? I was hoping to complete 30 pages in 30 days. Well, that was a pretty lofty goal for me--especially considering that it was a very busy month with two trips to Tennessee and all. Anyway, I didn't quite make it. But guess what?! The deadline was extended another month! So ... YAY! LOL!

I did, however, finish somewhere around 20 pages before the end of the month, if I remember correctly. And since then, I have completed even more. I'm not quite to 30 just yet, but I think I can get there by Halloween.

In other scrapbooking news, How Fast They Grow e-mailed and asked if they could post one of my pages in their online gallery! How cool is that?! I'm not sure how much longer if it will be up, but check it out and see if you recognize a familiar face.

Also ... I received an e-mail that my favorite local scrapbook store, Atlanta Scrapbook Connection, is closing this month. :o( Although I don't get in there as much as I used to, this has been a favorite place for me to buy supplies and to take classes. The owner and other ladies who work there have been so nice and friendly--they are so talented and helpful, too. I will really miss that store!

Before ASC closes for good, though, there is going to be a big ol' sale! And it starts this Thursday. Here are some of the details I received:

Please come to our GIANT SALE starting Thursday, October 9, at 10.am.! Lots of deals and FUN to be had!

We are starting our Store Closing Sale. After almost 9 great years, it is time to move on!

We will be CLOSED through Wednesday, October 8, to prepare the store for this sale. We will be busily slashing prices on every item ... and unfortunately won't have time to answer the phone! We apologize for the inconvenience, but we will be happy to see you Thursday at 10 a.m.!

Cash and Credit cards ONLY at the SALE!

Happy Scrapping ... and ... Happy Shopping!

P.S. I think the store will be open through October 30th, but I'm not 100 percent sure on that.

_______

Oh yeah! Here are some more of the pages I did last month:

Two-page spread about meeting President Carter (as the title suggests, LOL!) Pictures weren't allowed with President Carter, so I used photos of Kate and Tanna at the Carter Center as well as photos of Kate with the book Carter signed.

This one is very simple, obviously. I used a montage from Kate's 9-month photo session at Kiddie Kandids.

Another montage from Kiddie Kandids--this one is from last October, when Kate was 3 months old.

Kate as a newborn

This is a collage from Snapfish. I ordered it a long time ago and then trimmed it and mounted it on scrapbook paper. I like the collage idea, but I don't like how Snapfish randomly places your photos for you--you cannot decide which photos go where. (At least, you couldn't when I ordered mine.) I ordered another one like this last year--it's a collage of photos with Tanna and Kate together. The title on that one is "Daddy's Girl." I did that page several months ago.

I have some more pages to share, too. Stay tuned!

Page Count: 19
September Goal: 30
