My Meme

This should be interesting. I am pretty tired and in a hurry with a million things to do. But what am I doing? I am blogging. LOL! (See my profile for more information about that.)

Anyway, I was tagged by Lee Anne for a meme. The mandate for this meme is to write six random things about me and then tag six fellow bloggers to do the same. Oh, and do the links and comments and all of that, too. Here goes--I hope none of these are repeats ...
  1. I have blue eyes. Everyone in my immediate growing-up family has blue eyes. Guess what? Everyone in Tanna's immediate growing-up family has brown eyes. Kate has brown eyes.
  2. I got a ticket for turning right on red last year in Atlanta. Warning to you, gentle readers. Do NOT turn right on red if there is a sign posted. Even if nothing is coming for miles. Even if you are a million months pregnant and about to cry (darn hormones!), you can still get a ticket--and an expensive one at that! To my credit, I did not start crying until the officer left.
  3. I have never broken any bones, and I had never been admitted to the hospital until I had Kate last year.
  4. When I was little and my Mom told me that there are some people who do not believe in God, I did not understand that. Come to think of it, I still don't understand that. Everyone will believe one day--sadly, though, it may be too late. I want anyone who may be reading this to know that there is a God in heaven who loves you and sent His only Son to die for your sins. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16, NIV). We never know when we may take our last breath--we may never get another chance to receive Christ. Don't wait to make the most important decision you will ever make in your life. I wish I was better at communicating this, but it is from the heart.
  5. I have traveled to the following places outside of the U.S.: Kosovo, Uruguay, Canada, France, Spain, Mexico, Panama, South Korea, Cayman Islands. That's all I can think of right now. These are in no particular order.
  6. I cannot sing and have no idea what being "on key" should sound like, etc. It's too bad because Tanna is an excellent singer. His family is full of talented vocalists. Truly. They used to enter singing competitions as a family--and win! One time we were at a church in Charlotte, and a man that was sitting around us came up to him after the service and told him what a great voice he had and that he should join the choir! LOL! Once when I was younger, a fellow church member tried to get me to join the choir. I told her that I couldn't sing. She said I could just sing harmony. I then had to tell her that I didn't even know what that meant. The weird thing is that I can remember and recognize voices--sometimes better than faces (have a funny story about that later).
OK, now I am tagging some fellow nesties:
  1. Aga
  2. Ingrid
  3. Rhonda
  4. Sheena
  5. Julie L.
  6. Traci

  1. Your list is excellent! I had never been in the hospital either prior to giving birth. I was kinda terrified!
