I was going to write about Kate and Amelia's adventures from this past weekend--but then I realized I never finished documenting their last big visit, which took place back in October. They went to see Miss PattyCake, which I did write about, but they also had another fun outing--to the children's museum here in Atlanta.
Amelia and Kristi (her Mommy) met us here before we departed on that rainy Monday morning for downtown Atlanta. It was Columbus Day--and the busiest I have ever seen the children's museum. There were a lot of men there, too--I guess a lot of dads had the day off and spent some quality time with the kids that day.
The girls had a blast running amok and exploring all the exhibits. The Curious George exhibit was new at the time--and it is still up through January something if you want to check it out. Afterward, we got lunch and brought it back here to eat. Then we let the girls run wild out in the play room. :o)
Here are a lot of pics from our fun day:
Amelia giving Kate a hug before we left. You can't see them, but the girls were wearing cute matching owl socks that Kristi bought. (Thanks again!)
We have arrived! These colorful balls are one of the first things kids see when they enter the play area of the museum.
Sliding--wheeeeee!
Doing a little fishing ...
Playing in the toddlers-only area
Painting--one of Kate's favorite things to do there
Moon Sand!
Here's Kate checking out the Curious George area. She really liked this elevator with sliding doors.
Group shot before we left
Playing up a storm!
what a fun 'girls weekend' !! that children's museum looks like a blast. i hope you girls enjoyed yourselves!
ReplyDeletei think i say this everytime i visit your blog, but kate is soo gorgeous! and i love that she loves owls. girl after my own heart. :]
We love the Children's Museums here. The one in Seattle is great.
ReplyDeleteSean has Moon Sand. I like it better than Play Doh, because it's easier to clean up, but it still gets all over everything.
Aw, fun times! I need to post some pics, too!
